What is the need for an Aadhaaar Card?

  • For Signing Legal Documents Electronically– This is one of the most important benefits of the Aadhaar card. If you have a mobile number registered with your Aadhaar card, you can electronically sign legal documents by entering an OTP which will be sent to your registered mobile number.
  • For Opening A Bank Account- Earlier customers had to submit a bunch of documents, each with its own purpose for opening an account with the bank.

  • LPG Connections and Subsidies- While signing up for a gas connection, if you provide your Aadhaar number, the LPG subsidy amount gets directly credited to the bank account number linked with your Aadhaar.
